WE ARE

My wife, daughter and I live in Shippensburg, Pennsylvania. We have collected antique sulphide marbles and paid some high prices for them. I looked over at my wife one day and said, "why don't we make our own sulphides, how hard can it be?" Famous last words, and so I got started.

Donated by Ray Laubs

Ray is self-taught with a never-ending fusion of new ideas and innovations. He has taught himself not only how to work hot glass but, to make the ceramic molds and figures for the marbles. His handmade sulphide marbles are as large as 3 7/16" and as small as a 3/8" peewee. His glass art marbles are a refreshing new style of sulphide that is unique. Ray has been working hot glass for several years.
